Get involved
At City Church Preston there are lots of things to get involved with. We wanted to highlight a few of the areas below that are making a difference in our community and the wider city. There are also lots of other ways to get involved in our community so that you can make it a place to connect, enjoy and experience all that God has for you.

Check out a handful of the ways to connect with us, or head over to the Connect page to find out more about becoming a Barista in our coffee shop, becoming an AV technician, joining our Sunday worship team, taking care of our grounds, helping with admin or one of the many other areas with Church.
Connect Groups
Our Connect groups meet throughout the city. They consist of small groups of people (6-15 people) from church who connect during the week at various locations. Usually meeting in homes to share food, pray and discuss the bible, developing great connections and lasting friendships.
We have Connect Groups located in and around the city and there is plenty of choice.

City Church Women
“A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
– Margaret Mead

We are a community of women in the heart of Preston: We aim to leave heart-prints on our world as we encourage and build each other on life’s journey
Here at City Church, building community and relationship is really important to us and we believe that as women, we really are designed to ‘do life’ together.
Something which is really important to us and at the heart of what we do at City Church Women is supporting others. Ecclesiastes 4:9 says ‘Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed’.

When we come together as a group of women we can achieve so much more; every person doing a small bit to help someone else, makes a big impact on our world. Together we can leave heart prints on our world that let others know that there is a God in heaven who loves them and a group of women here on earth who believe in them.
Kid's Ministry
Jesus for Juniors, or JJ’s for short, is a brilliant programme for kids who are primary school aged. JJ’s are often going home having taken part in arts and crafts or baking and decorating. The crafts and activities at JJ’s always represent part of the story of the day and the lessons that the kids have been learning. As JJ’s is for the older kids, they do sometimes go on fun trips out.
The JJ’s team will always provide consent forms and full trip details before the events. We hope to see your child soon, we know that they will have a fun time making, baking and learning at JJ’s.
If you have any questions about the programmes or want to know more about bringing your kids along on a Sunday then please contact us by clicking below.
Students & Young Adults
Events specifically for students include socials, free Sunday lunches & a host family scheme. All these events include food & are a great way to share your journey with others. We want you to feel a special part of the City Church Community & be supported throughout your stay in Preston.

At City Church, we run connect groups for all ages on a weekly basis, some of which are interest-based; others are specifically for students & young adults. We look forward to meeting you & journeying with you through this part of your studies.
Our St. Thomas' Centre venue is open on Fridays 20:00 - 22:00 specifically so that students can drop in, use the wifi, get a coffee and chat with someone.
Pastoral Support
We have a Pastoral Support team that are available on Sundays and during the week for questions, prayer or a visit.
We want anyone that would like to engage with us in Pastoral Support to know that we are available.
Hope for Life
Hope for Life is our response to significant and rising levels of food poverty in our city.

We are partnered with Stoneygate Children’s Centre to identify families who need food. We support those in need throughout our city because we follow Jesus’ example; we support families whatever their beliefs might be. We don’t think that support should come with strings attached.

We currently support many families with monthly or emergency food parcels. This is just the beginning of the story and we intend to rewrite the storyline so that more and more families can step further and further away from the feeling of hunger and desperation.
You can easily donate as a one off gift or give throughout the year if you’re in a position to. We'd be glad to receive all contributions so that together we can reduce the number of families who do not have the means to put food on the table in Preston.
City Church Men
City Church Men is a really unimaginative name, but like popular fence paint, it does what it says on the tin; we're men and we're part of the community at City Church Preston.

We meet for monthly breakfasts, prayer and support each other. We also meet up in a pub or a local place to get food every now and then.
If you're interested in finding out when we're next meeting up, head over to the What's On page, or send us a note via the Connect page.
